Hello, dear readers. First of all, welcome to my blog. After over a year of existence in the Portuguese language, I finally decided to give it some content in English as well – which only makes sense, seeing that I’m an English teacher here in Brazil. At first, it’s not much. The four accessory pages – O Autor (The Author); O Blog (The Blog); Contato (Contact); and Arquivo (Archive) – have all been given English versions to help you find what you’re looking for or just to let you know more about me and about why this blog exists.
There are also three entries in English at this point:
– Red Riding Hood: my own version of the old tale. The tale itself had been published here in English (it was prepared as a school activity) but with the rest of the text in Portuguese. It is now fully translated.
– There’s also a review of the album Com Você… Meu Mundo Ficaria Completo, by the late Brazilian singer Cássia Eller.
– Finally, my recent post entitled “The 20 most remarkable female characters in cinema” got an English version, so that you can go there and disagree with it, hehehe.
My plan, from now on, is to add content in Portuguese and English simultaneously whenever I deem it relevant for international readers (I write a lot about restaurants from my city, Porto Alegre – that probably doesn’t interest anyone outside here). I’ll also try to translate some of the existing content. If you can understand something from the Portuguese entries and see anything you’d like translated, let me know, I’ll give it some priority.
In the unlikely event that any of you have been here before, the template has changed. Even though I always liked the way the blog looked, I figured now was a good time to give it a new visual identity. Let me know what you think.
So, that’s it. Feel free to look around and leave your comments. I hope you come back. Greetings, Marcelo.
